Hydrangeas are notoriously thirsty blooms. To prolong their lush beauty, gently remove the packaging and place them in a clean vase:
- Deep Water: Fill the vase with plenty of fresh water (about two-thirds full) to ensure the stems can drink abundantly.
- Daily Refresh: Change the water daily and trim the stems at a sharp angle. For maximum water absorption, create a small vertical slit at the base of the stem. A gentle misting of water directly on the petals will also keep them looking vibrant.
- Ideal Placement: Keep them in a cool, shaded area, away from direct sunlight, air-conditioning vents, and ripening fruit to prevent rapid dehydration.
